Your New Board of Directors and Fall Conference Announcement

Your newly elected ESA of Missouri Board of Directors was installed on January 9th, 2019 for the 2019/2020 term. Two Board Members – Bob Scales, President and Neil Atha, Treasurer – were reelected to their offices for the 2019/2020 term.

We would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to our two new board members.

First, our new Vice President is Jeff Herdman, General Manager of Alarm Central, LLC. Jeff began his career as a central station operator nearly 20 years ago where he quickly advanced to Assistant Central Station Manager. In August of 2016 Jeff was named General Manager of Alarm Central LLC, a CSAA Five Diamond Certified Central Station.

He then began planning the relocation and modernization of Alarm Central, LLC. This project involved working with ownership to locate a building, upgrades to infrastructure, hardware, software and onsite/offsite data security. Future expansion was also a consideration in this project, which was completed in December of 2017.

Our new Secretary is Tom Butler. After graduating from St. Louis University in 2010 Tom joined the family business – Butler Durrell Security, Inc. – in the accounting department. Tom, however, quickly found his path to success in the companies sales department. He is currently serving as Treasurer for AGSL. Tom is happily married, has two cats, and his hobbies include being a working musician on the weekends and spending time watching movies with his wife, Stephanie.

Jeff and Tom are both welcome additions to our Board of Directors. We are very excited to announce plans for our Annual Fall Conference that will be held

Ben Sikorski, Account Executive with Alarm.com will be our Headline Speaker. Alarm.com recently won Security Product of the Year at the Consumer Technology Association’s Mark of Excellence Awards for its new Smart Signal feature. Smart Signal enables Alarm.com subscribers to signal their monitoring station directly from their Alarm.com mobile app, enabling faster emergency response and reducing false alarms. Smart Signal is an in-app emergency signaling feature that enables a property owner to communicate critical information directly to their property’s monitoring station from their smartphone. Ben will be introducing you to many of Alarm.com’s latest innovations that enhance the end users experience and create new “Bolt On” RMR opportunities for dealers.

The conference will also be a new enhanced experience for our conference attendees. Your meeting room is being moved to the second floor of the main lobby. Friday evening there will be a catered reception in the meeting room from 5:00 to 6:30. The menu will include hot and cold cuisine, soft drinks and a cash bar. All our attendees and guests are invited to attend and Ben Sikorski with Alarm.com will be looking forward to meeting all of you. Watch for more information coming soon!
